    “As the world begins to recover from the pandemic, the daily grind can be overwhelming. That’s why I turned to music as a way to slow down and find peace. Through my compositions, I aim to transport listeners to a calming, serene world. Using a blend of acoustic and electronic instruments, we created sounds reminiscent of nature and the comfort of home. To fully capture this feeling, my jazz piano trio recorded our album in a cozy living room, with a crackling fireplace and a beloved dog by our side. If you've (pre)ordered a copy of our album (digital and physical!) we'd love to gift you the seventh secret bonus track "Memories Lost, Like Tears in Rain". Expect an upbeat song featuring deep synth-bass improvisation and a whiskey bottle drum groove. The title of this track comes from Rutger Hauer's legendary speech at the end of the first "Blade Runner" in which he brought the cameramen to tears with this inspirational improvised line.

“We recorded everything super close to eachother, in one room, and using the Dummy Head to create a binaural recording (a technique used in ASMR). On many tracks, we added sound effects in the same manner. If you listen to the music on headphones or in-ears, the feeling of being in the room with the trio is enhanced greatly. This is also a core concept of the album, thus the title 'Closer'..”
